About S&T Region East

S&T Region East includes fully owned S&T subsidiaries in Russia, Romania and Bulgaria and S&T Software. These countries offer a dynamic and challenging business environment and a rapidly changing marketplace.
Wide diversity of cultures, languages, religions, the incipient phase of development of the SMB sector and emerging economies from IT point of view illustrates in few words the business environment of these countries.

With a very large IT market (Russia – 10.7 Billion Euro < Source: PMR Publications, 2007> , Bulgaria - 430 Million Euro, Romania – 1.211 Billion Euro < Source: EITO, 2007> ), Region East offers tremendous opportunities for solution design and project development as well as for professional services.

Region East has a significant contribution to the global S&T results, S&T Romania being one of the main contributors to the Group’s EBIT.

The extensive experience gathered over years lead to a superior team of highly skilled IT professionals in software development area, to matured processes, to seamless communication methodologies, sound project management capabilities and world class infrastructure. As a result, S&T Group has decided to create within S&T Region East a new entity, S&T Software, with focus on software development outsourcing in order to leverage S&T’s vertical industry experience and enhance services offering and image.

Widening the availability to the Group level for the local competencies in certain areas concentrated within S&T subsidiaries was made possible by creating Competence Centers. Two of the S&T Group’s Competence Centers – HP Software and Customer Concept Center – are located in S&T Region East.

In October 2006, in collaboration with HP, the S&T Group have developed HP Software Competence Center that creates best practice which will lead and inspire the whole organization, significantly increasing our technical and consultancy abilities regarding HP Software products.

The Customer Concept Center (CCC) in Bucharest opened its doors in Q2 2007 and is responsible for providing expertise for Business Critical Infrastructure Solutions. Jointly S&T and HP demonstrate their competence towards customers and prove that integrated solutions & concepts provide a best practice approach for our clients.
